On November 16, 1980, at 3:08 Jessica Lee was born, followed by myself, Allisa Joy, 30 seconds later, and then another additional 30 seconds later my brother Justin Adam was born. We were born by emergency c-section at Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffolk County, New York, 5 weeks early. My brother Justin was missing a chemical in his body which told him to breath. After reviving him, he was sent to North Shore Hospital were they were better equipped to care for him.

Growing up as a triplet has been hard. Not only because we have had to share everything from birthdays to graduation, but because my sister, Jessica, and I are identical. Almost everyone that knows us, calls me by her name or mistakes me for her. We have been compared to each other, making it hard for us to find our own identities, but in the end, it has worked out. I actually am beginning to like being a triplet. I have learned that it is a very special thing and that I should treat it with respect. I also have to admit, that now that my sister is away at college, I am beginning to miss the double takes we usually got when walking together.

So now, after all the trouble with being a triplet has finally left me, I am looking forward to helping people understand what triplets are and how they can treat and raise them as best they can.

Please write to me if you have any questions.
